I'm glad you're here.

Parenting is hard.

I’ve been in your shoes.

You’re a busy parent juggling everyone’s needs; work, home, children, and somehow your own (if there’s anything left to give).

You’ve tried the routines, the books, the tips, but nothing seems to stick. You’re running on empty.

You wish your child would just listen, without every request turning into a battle. You lose your patience, you yell, and then the guilt hits…HARD.

Screens are becoming a battleground.

Your partner doesn’t always see things the same way. And while you’re doing your best to parent differently from how you were raised, old patterns creep in when you’re tired or stressed.

You wonder if you’re failing.

Everyone else seems to have it together, while you’re quietly falling apart.

You just want to feel connected again, to your child, your partner, and yourself.

This is where Aware Parenting can bring real change, supporting both you and your child.

Parenting is hard.

Hey there,

I'm Belinda!

your Parenting Mentor

I'VE BEEN EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE

I'm a mum of two spirited boys, a certified Aware Parenting Instructor, and a mental health professional.

I’ve been exactly where you are.

I know the exhaustion that seeps into your bones when the nights are long and the days feel like you are endlessly giving. I know the guilt that whispers, “You should be handling this better.” And I know how heavy it feels to love your children so deeply, yet quietly grieve the parts of yourself that once felt free and spontaneous.

After my first born, I convinced myself that good mothers just gave more and complained less. So I kept going. I kept pushing, fixing…doing. But underneath it all, resentment bubbled up, and I felt the joys of motherhood slip further and further away.

Until I discovered another way, one that honours both mother and child. Aware Parenting taught me that the needs of the whole family matter and that genuine connection is the foundation of emotional wellbeing. That shift changed everything for me, for my children, and for the families I now support through The Connected Way.

Drawing from over a decade in mental health and trauma-informed care, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to all my offerings.

As a mental health nurse supporting youth and families through complex emotional challenges, I learned how early relationships shape lifelong wellbeing, and how awareness, empathy, and repair can rewrite those patterns.

I’ve practiced Aware Parenting in my own family for years, integrating inner-child work, neuroscience, attachment theory, and nervous-system regulation into accessible, real-life parenting.

I believe the early years, especially from birth to age three, matter deeply, and that supporting families during this time can change the trajectory of mental health for generations to come.

Wherever you find yourself on this journey, know that change is possible. It’s never too late to soften, to repair, and to begin again, with more trust, presence, and connection. Every moment of awareness has the power to shape the family life you hope for.

My Happy Place

Between mentoring sessions, you’ll often find me chasing my boys across paddocks, or walking the farm trails with a cup of coffee in hand.

Care to share a cuppa with me?

Here are a few other fun facts you may learn about yours truly:

  • Horse riding, gym sessions, and the occasional water-ski keep me grounded (and sane).

  • My sauna and ice bath? 100% a kid-free zone. That’s a non-negotiable.

  • I’m happiest when I’m in the kitchen making sourdough or one of my many “weird fermented foods.”

  • I’ve cooked my way through almost every recipe in Jo Whitton’s Simple Healing Food. I highly recommend.

My mission as a parenting mentor is simple: to help Australian families cultivate confidence and connection through the Connected Way.

Why I do What I Do

I’ve spent over a decade supporting families through stress, trauma, and change. First as a mental health nurse, and now as a parenting mentor.

When I became a mother myself, everything I knew professionally took on new meaning.
The theories, the strategies…they were valuable, but they didn’t hold me at 3am when I felt like I was falling apart.

All the research and training in the world only took me so far; it was connection and a greater sense of compassion that transformed everything.

And that’s what I now share with the parents I work with: a way of parenting that doesn’t rely on control, punishment, or perfection, but on understanding, empathy, and trust.

My approach bridges science and soul, grounded in evidence-based practice, but guided by warmth, intuition, and lived experience.

THE CONNECTED WAY

Parenting feels lighter with support.

MY MISSION

My Mission

To support parents in creating more connected, grounded family lives where both children and parents can thrive.

Parenting isn’t just about raising children; it’s about re-parenting ourselves along the way.

When parents feel supported and understood, children flourish. When families find connection, it ripples outwards, shaping the next generation with more compassion, resilience, and joy.

My mission as a parenting mentor is simple: to help Australian families cultivate confidence and connection through the Connected Way.

MY ROOTS

My Roots

Living on a farm in Western Australia, I’ve come to see how parenting is a lot like tending the land. It requires patience, nurturing, and trust in the process…even when you can’t see what’s growing beneath the surface. That trust didn’t come easily. After my first baby was born, I faced a difficult transition into motherhood. A traumatic birth, pelvic injury, postnatal depression, an unsettled baby, and the isolation of COVID. As a former nurse with a “just get on with it” attitude, I suddenly found myself in the lowest place of my life. It affected everything: my bond with my baby, my marriage, and my sense of self. You often hear about the moments that almost break you, the ones that become your greatest teachers. My turning point came during my second pregnancy. The universe sent the right people at the right time, including a private midwife who helped me reconnect with my body, my intuition, and my power as a woman. Together, we rebuilt trust in birth, in my body, and in the unfolding process of motherhood.

When you

work with me

Stepping into the Connected Way, you’ll find:

  • A safe, compassionate environment where you’re truly heard.

  • Tools and insights that are practical and kind.

  • Guidance that honours both your child’s emotions and your own.

  • A steady presence walking beside you. Not ahead of you.

Because the truth is…you’re already the parent your child needs.

You just need the space and support to remember that.

Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, and it’s normal to feel unsure sometimes.

You don’t have to navigate it alone.
